2018 Beauty favourites

Sorry for the two beauty favourite posts in a row but I wanted to share my 2018 faves with you. I definitely fell in love with skincare more which has helped my shitty skin so much. Also, it wouldn't be my favourites without a few liquid lipsticks and the best eyeliner I have ever tried in my life.

Skincare
The Body Shop Chamomile Cleanser - As mentioned in my 2017 beauty favourites I was obsessed with the Clinique take the day off balm however it has been replaced by this beauty. It's cheaper, its cruelty-free and it is amazing. It melts all of my makeup off with ease but doesn't leave my face feeling tight or dry. It also turns to a milk when you rinse it so you're not left trying to get an oil slick off your face. Honestly, if you wear makeup you need this balm in your life.

Biore Baking Soda Foam Cleanser (not pictured because I definitely forgot to grab it from the bathroom.) - I picked this up on a whim because I needed a new cleanser and I am so glad I did. It has massively helped with my breakouts without drying out my skin further. I use this as my evening cleanser after taking off my makeup and it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. I also love a cleanser with a pump dispenser. So much easier.

Primark Overnight Lip Treatment - Along with dry skin I also forever have dry lips. My matte lipstick habit probably doesn't help. Lip balm is my best friend and I am always on the lookout for a good one. I picked this up for £2 and holy shit it is amazing. My lips have never felt so soft.

Nip + Fab Dragons Blood Fix Hyaluronic Shot & Bee Sting Repairing Fix Shot  - These shots have been a game changer for my dry skin. I adore them. However, I do not adore the price. That being said I have never paid full price for them. Superdrug tends to have quite a few half-price deals on Nip + Fab so I highly recommend waiting for an offer. You do however need to try them. I don't understand how 2 drops of one of these can instantly revitalise my skin. They are pure magic. I love them so much that the Dragons blood one was also in my 2017 faves.

Nip + Fab Dragons Blood Serum  - As you can probably tell me and my face do love a bit of Nip + Fab. They may be a tad on the pricey side but if you have dry skin I highly recommend you check out the Dragons blood range. Not only does it have a cool name but it has worked wonders for my scaley face. This serum instantly hydrates and plumps my skin. I ran out a couple of weeks ago and I'm a bit lost.

Bravura London Lactic Acid Peel - 2018 was the year of skincare. I suffer from extremely dry skin as well as painful breakouts. I picked up this lactic acid peel on a whim and it has changed my life. Chemical peels are the way forward. It's honestly so easy and always leaves my skin feeling fresh and revitalised.

Beauty

Lush Twilight Body Spray - I don't actually use this as a body spray but it does smell absolutely incredible. I'm not normally a lavender fan but oh my god this is beautiful. I spray it around my room before bed and it definitely helps relax me whilst making my room smell delicious. I've had mine for about a year and I still have quite a bit left.

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara - For 2 years the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara has been my ride or die but It cosmetics may have taken the top spot. I got this as a sample and I need the full size asap. It is so damn good. It's super black, gives amazing volume and length as well as a beautiful curl/lift. It is everything I look for in a mascara.

NYX Epic Ink Liner - If you use liquid eyeliner or want a fierce wing then you 100% need this in your life. I have tried many an eyeliner and this is hands down my absolute favourite. It lasts bloody hours, you can get a nice sharp flick and it is blacker than my soul. Plus it's only £9. Bargain.

The Ordinary High Spreadability Fluid Primer - I really struggle to find a primer that actually feels like it does something. This little bottle really does do something. It smooths out my skin and provides the nicest base for my makeup. It helps with both my dry skin and my pores. Plus it's only £5.50

It Cosmetics CC Cream - This is probably one of the most hyped products of 2018 and I am definitely a fan. My dry skin doesn't get on with most base products but this applies and works beautifully with my skin.

Primark Highlighter - I love a good highlighter and I honestly cannot get over how bloody amazing Primarks offerings are. I haven't tried many of their other make up products but I can highly recommend their powder highlights. The pigment is just incredible and they give the best glow and they are all under a fiver. Absolute bargain.

Primark False Nails - I fell in love with false nails this year and it has changed my life. I can't have long nails day to day because I train every Tuesday and have games on weekends. However, if I have a week off training or I don't have a game I can glue on some nails and have pretty hands. I buy most of my nails from Primark because at £1-£3 you can't go wrong. They also have so many beautiful ones to choose from.

Kat Von D Saint Perfume - Obviously Kat Von D is a bit of a tool but this perfume smells so damn good and the bottle is so damn gorgeous. Kinda sad that I didn't like the Sinner scent but clearly I'm just too angelic for that.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Vintage - This is probably my most worn lipstick in 2018. I adore it. I'm all about the purple shades and this is just my perfect shade. It's so gorgeous. The lasting power is great and it's not too drying. Definitely, need to treat myself to more shades this year.

Maybelline Superstay Matte Liquid Lipsticks - We all know I love a good matte liquid lipstick. I have tried many from various different price points but oh my god this is one of the best I have ever tried. These liquid lipsticks are so comfortable and have some serious lasting power. If you only own one liquid lipstick make it one of these. I think my 2 favourites are Believer which is a purple (of course) and Voyager which is a gorgeous dark red.

Max Factor Lip Lacquer in Honey Nude - 2018 was the year I fell in love with glosses. I have never been a glossy lip person but they are perfect for a more natural makeup day. My dry lips are absolutely loving them as well. I'm not sure I'm a bold glossy lip person because they are more maintenance and I am a messy person but I am loving nudes. This one from max factor is my absolute fave and I think I might have to repurchase soon. It's perfect in the summer and just looks gorgeous.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Buff - I definitely fell in love with more nude lipsticks in 2018. Obviously, a bold lip will forever hold my heart but on days when I can't be arsed to keep an eye on and reapply my lipstick nudes are a life saver. I'm also not normally a creamy bullet lipstick kinda girl but this ABH formula is just incredible. This rosy nude shade is beautiful, comfortable and I would definitely recommend to everyone.

What were your stand out beauty products of 2018?
