December 2018 Favourites

I am determined that 2019 is the year I get my shit together with my blog. I have a new planner, my desk is all set up and I actually have some post ideas. Photography has always been my issue. I am never fully happy with how my photos turn out so I either put off taking them or scrap them and end up with a load of photoless posts sat in my drafts. This year I'm going to work on my photography but I am also going to be less hard on myself and just go with it.

January is going to include quite a few favourites posts. We are kicking off with my December favourites. I also have my 2018 beauty faves post to come as well as my favourite books of 2018 and I may squeeze in a lifestyle favourites.

Nip & Fab Bee Sting Repairing Fix Shot - You may have seen before that I am a huge fan of Nip & Fab. I fell in love with the Dragons Blood shot a while back and it did wonders for my skin. I picked this up in the black Friday sale for a fiver and I am in love. It's a repairing and conditioning boost and it leaves my skin feeling incredible. After I've tried it for a bit longer I will have a full review up.

DW GRL PWR Hemp Rose Candle - I cannot go into TK Maxx and not buy a candle or two. It's impossible. I was torn over this one but I'm so glad I bought it. I'm not normally a rose fan but if it hadn't been written on the label I wouldn't have known it had rose in it. It's such a sublte and beautiful scent. Plus the jar is cute

"Verdant citrus peel & wild greens swirl with aromatic hemp seed. Herbal thyme and hints of white sage balanced by soft pink roses and the freshness of crushed lavender buds"

Smashbox Cover Shot Ablaze Eyeshadow Palette - My new years resolution last year was to master eyeshadow. There's just something about it that terrifies me. It all seems so complicated. Anyway, I took the plunge in December. I had this palette lurking in my dressing table and decided to give it a whirl. I am so happy I did because I love it. The colours are gorgeous and easy to work with considering I have no idea what I'm doing. So new years resolution for this year is to actually conquer eyeshadow and try different looks. I've totally got this.

Primark Mink Pink Highlighter - If you only try one thing from Primarks makeup offerings make sure it is one of their powder highlighters. I have not been disappointed yet. This gorgeous champagne pink one is my go to at the moment. The payoff is just incredible, especially for £2.50. Honestly, the glow is outstanding.

Smashbox Limited Edition Vlada Petal Metal Highlighter in Gilded Rose - I picked this up in the summer when I met up with Jen is Sheffield and can we just take a moment to appreciate how damn gorgeous that packaging is. I think it is probably the prettiest piece of makeup I own. Convincing myself to use it and ruin the beautiful rose was so difficult. That being said it is so worth the use. It gives such a gorgeous natural glow but is definitely buildable.

Dose of Colors Mickey Mouse Lipstick in Forever - We all know that I absolutely adore Dose of Colors. As soon as I saw the packaging for the Mickey collection I knew I was going to need at least one item. I actually got 3 and there will be a review soon. I am loving a nude lip at the moment because I've been pretty lazy with reapplication. This one is a cool brown nude that is just perfect. The satin lipstick has a matte yet creamy finish which is just so comfortable and I can't get enough of it.

Let me know what your favourite eyeshadow palettes are because I am definitely in the market for some more.
