Bravura London Chemical Peels

As you all know and are probably sick of hearing, I have incredibly dry skin. Like so dry that I look like I have scales if I wear foundation. I also suffer with a lot of breakouts on my chin. Before Christmas, I treated myself to a whole knew Bravura London skincare regime. I also picked up two of the recommended chemical peels and then ended up being too scared to try them. My skin can be quite fussy sometimes. I finally plucked up the courage to do a patch test and it was all fine so I took the plunge. I've been using these for about 3 months now and I am in love. I don't use them as regularly as I should and I really need to stick to a routine to get the full benefit but they are amazing

First of all Bravura absolutely kills the packaging game. How damn pretty are the glass bottles?

Bravura London Chemical Peels
Lactic Acid 10% Peel

This peel is recommended for dry skin. It is an alcohol-free chemical peel infused with Rose Water. It's for the treatment of dry/dehydrated skin suffering from hyperpigmentation, acne, dry/dull skin, ageing or to just freshen the complexion and revive your natural glow. Pretty much everything that is wrong with my face. Lactic acid is perfect for dry skin because it helps the skin to retain moisture.

You apply this in the evening, leave it for 5 mins and then rinse with warm water. I then follow it up with a gentle moisturiser and when I wake up my skin feels so plump and hydrated. As I'm not using it as often as I should be I still struggle with foundation but oh my god it has made such a difference. My face doesn't feel uncomfortably dry and it definitely looks more glowy. The plus side to this is I don't really need to wear foundation any more. I feel comfortable enough without it.

Salicylic Acid 2% Peel

The salicylic acid exfoliator is perfect for treating blackheads, enlarged pores, congested skin and acne where the skin is oily. As these skin conditions are caused by the skin being clogged by excess oil and dead skin, using a peel daily will give far superior results than using a stronger peel once a week. The salicylic acid works by gently removing old cells from the skin. It also boosts collagen production.

This is perfect for bringing those super painful under the skin spots to the surface. I love this stuff because I have never found an actual physical exfoliater that hasn't massively irritated my skin and caused more issues. This has definitely helped clear up my breakouts and blackheads. I was worried it would dry out my skin as it's supposed to be good for oily skin but it doesn't.

Bravura London Acid Peels

Acids sound scary but these 2 beauties have helped my skin so much. I would highly recommend them if you have dry or blemish prone skin. They are £9.59 each which is such a great price. I love that Bravura London skincare looks and feels extremely high end but is pretty affordable.

Both of these products are for every other day use and you can use them together by alternating days. So use 1 on Monday, the other on Wednesday and then back to the first one on Friday etc. You can also build up the times you use them for to a max of 15 mins.

They come with leaflets with all the information you need. There's all the safety info as well as how and when to use them. The leaflets also have a handy notes section on the back so that you can keep track of what day you use which acid.

Have you tried at home chemical peels?
