Sleek Matte Me Lip Creams

I was kindly sent 3 of the Sleek Matte Me Lip Creams along with some other gorgeous pieces that I wrote about here. I am obsessed with liquid lipsticks and I don't think I will ever have too many. I just can't stop buying them. Liquid lipsticks are always the things I am drawn to first in shops

Sleek Matte Me Lip Creams review
The colours I was sent are all so perfect and definitely shades I will wear again and again. As with all of Sleeks products the packaging is nice and sturdy as well as 'sleek'. I love the square tubes as they stand out amongst the sea of circular tubed liquid lipsticks I own.

Shabby Chic* is a muted dark pink and it is such a pretty nudeish colour. Great for days when I'm not feeling my usual all out bold lip. It reminds me a bit of Stila Patina another one of my favourite nudes. So if you're looking for a cheaper alternative definitely check Shabby Chic out.

Velvet Slipper* is a muted deep plum and probably my favourite of them all and one of my favourite shades out of any lipstick I own. It looks so gorgeous on. It applies opaque in on coat and isn't streaky at all. It just looks so beautiful. I can't get enough of it.

Old Hollywood* is an oxblood red and despite my pink hair, red is one of my favourite lip colours to wear. There's just something about a deep red lip that makes me feel super glam even when I'm wearing an oversized hoodie. Despite how dark this one is it still applies beautifully. It does require a touch up in a few places to even out some patches but I always expect that with darker lipsticks.

Fandango Purple is a gorgeous bright fuchsia purple. I'm definitely a fan of bright and fun lips with Stila Como being another fave although this one is darker and more pink toned. This is probably my least worn out of them all because I find it more drying. They've also changed the wands since I bought this one. The doe foot applicator on this wand is too long and makes it awkward to apply. On the plus side they've now made them smaller making application nice and easy which I love.

Now onto the wear. They dry pretty quickly but they don't dry down completely. They look matte but they have a slight tacky feel on the lip. A bit like the Beauty Bakerie Lip Whips but less sticky and more comfortable. These aren't the longest wearing of the many liquid lipsticks I own but they still last pretty damn well. I would say it's about 4 hours with minimum eating/drinking. After eating they do wear away in the centre as you would expect but they reapply nicely and it doesn't bunch together or feel gross like some liquid lipsticks.

All in all these are a really nice formula and I'm so glad I got the chance to try more after not really feeling the one I bought ages ago. They last well, the colours are gorgeous, they apply nicely and are opaque with one swipe. Plus they are only £4.99 so they are an absolute steal. If you want to try liquid lipsticks without the bigger prices of the higher end ones then I definitely recommend these beauties. I will definitely be picking up some more
