Too Faced Melted Matte

Liquid lipsticks are pretty much the main thing to grace my lips these days. I just can't get enough of them. When I saw the colours and the packaging of the Too Face melted mattes I wanted them immediately. I patiently waited for them to be released in the UK because I am not about those customs charges. I then started reading some not so positive reviews and decided that maybe I should save my pennies. However, I could not stop thinking about two of the colours so I decided to be reckless, take the plunge and make them mine.

I mean look at them. How was I supposed to resist them? I picked up Queen B and Lady Balls and I'm gonna fully admit that my main reason for choosing Lady Balls was the name. It just makes me smile. I also love announcing that I can't find my Lady Balls or that I need to reapply my lady balls. It gets some beautiful looks if you do it in public.

I read some reviews that they were super drying & crumbly but I didn't find this. Obviously they aren't gonna be super moisturising because they are matte but I didn't find them any more drying than my other liquid lipsticks. In fact they're pretty comfortable. They do wear off a bit uneven after eating but they reapply okay. Lasting power is about 5-6ish hours and longer if you aren't eating particularly messy foods.

After having a love affair with pink lipsticks (it matched my hair) I am now firmly back in the red lip camp. Red lips are life and I have been looking for the perfect red forever. I absolutely adore this colour and it may be the one. It's such a gorgeous true red and featured in my October Favourites. No orange tones here. Queen B is a soft mauve and just truly beautiful. It's perfect for those days where you want a more nude look.

Middle - Too Faced Queen B
Bottom - Stila Baci

Queen B is very similar to my all time favourite Stila Baci but I would say that baci is lighter and has more grey tones whilst Queen B has more lilac tones. Dose of Colors stone is also a mauve lipstick but stone has more pinky tones. Can you tell that mauve lipsticks are my fave nudes? I cannot get enough. I love all three of these and wear them all equally.

I'm still tempted by some of the darker colours especially Drop Dead Red and I'm a lil bit in love with the navy blue and purple but just not sure I could pull it off and £19 is a lot for them to sit on my dressing table. Cool girl also looks like such a gorgeous nude.

Safe to say I need some more Too Faced products in my collection ASAP though
