Tarte Bundle First Impressions

When I got an email from Tarte with their latest bargain and free shipping to the UK I just couldn't resist. The offer was 6 full size products plus a makeup bag all for £60. I think I also had to pay £10ish taxes but that just meant I wouldn't be hit with the dreaded customs charge. I only ever buy from the Tarte website when they have free UK shipping because then the tax charge just feels like shipping costs.

So here's what I picked.

Tarte Bundle First Impressions
Obviously I had to pick the holographic makeup bag. It was just crying out to be mine. Look how pretty it is.

Bronze & Glow Contour Brush £27

This brush will be featured in my June Favourites (coming soon) because I absolutely adore the smaller end for my highlighter. It applies it beautifully and makes me glow like the goddess I am. The bigger end is a bit too hard for my liking so I prefer my Spectrum powder brush.

Tarte Foundation and blush

Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Blushing Bride £23

I have wanted to try one of these blushes for ages. They look so beautiful and I've heard amazing things. I got the shade blushing bride, which I can't find online, but it is so pretty. It's described as a plummy rose or a muted raspberry and it's just perfect

Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation £30 (QVC link £32.76)

I picked up the shade Fair-light Neutral and just hoped it would be a decent match. I'm pretty poor at colour matching as it is without having to guess online by vague descriptions haha. When it arrived it looked pretty dark however I think with my Body Shop Lightening drops I have got away with it. The pot looks absolutely gorgeous however it is a bit messy and bloddy impossible to photograph. All the fingerprints. The foundation however applies beautifully and transforms my spotty red face. I love a good high coverage foundation and this is one of them. The coverage is pretty incredible and it contains hyaluronic acid making it perfect for dry skin. I haven't tried it enough yet to comment on staying power so I'll get back to you.

Tarte mascara and eyeliner

Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara £19 (QVC 2 for £24)

I have seen so many people raving about this mascara. When I hear Tarte this is the first product I think of. I had to try it and see if the hype was true. As you all know I adore my Smashbox Full Exposure mascara and it is the only one I normally use. However, this comes in a close second. It volumises, lengthens and is super black. The Tarte wand is a lot smaller than the Smashbox one so if you have smaller eyes or find the smashbox one a bit messy than this may be the mascara for you. I do love the Tarte one I just love the smashbox one more. Smashbox you still have my heart.

Lights, Camera, Lashes Precision Longwear Liner £17

I absolutely adore my Tartiest Double Take Liner and it is featured in my fave eye makeup. I'm a liquid eyeliner junkie so I chose this from the eye category. I'm still not 100% sure on it. The nib is extra thin for precision which I love and it makes getting to the corner of my eye super easy. However it's not the easiest for a fierce wing as you have to go over it a few times to make it dark enough. I also found it didn't last as long and didn't seem as black as the double take liner. I want my liner to last all day and be in your face. This one just seemed to fade by the end of the day.

Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Festival £15 (Now on sale for £10)

I am obsessed with this. I am a huge matte liquid lipstick fan and have wanted to add a Tarte lip paint to my collection for years. I wish I had done it sooner. This nude mauve is just such a gorgeous colour for every day and the formula is lush. It applies like a dream, it's super comfortable, it dries down quickly to the perfect matte and it lasts. I need every single colour right now.

I got £131 worth of makeup plus whatever the bag cost for about £70. Unfortunately, this bargain has made me want to buy so much more. I am obsessed with Tarte and just want everything. I desperately want to try out their skin care as it all sounds perfect for my dry skin. I wish it was easier to get it in the UK.

What are your fave Tarte products that I need to try?
