Lancome Grandiose Mascara

I've been meaning to type up this post forever. I've had the images sat in my drafts since the summer. I fell in love with the packaging of the grandiose range when I picked up the liquid eyeliner back in July. I was tempted by the mascara but couldn't really justify the £25 price tag that came with it.

Then we went out to France in August and I found a cute gift set with the full-size mascara, a pencil eyeliner, and a mini bi-facil cleanser for £18 (I'm pretty sure that's how much it was). I thought they'd marked the price wrong as they were selling the mascara on its own for £22.50. I instantly snapped it up and am so pleased I did.

First off can we just appreciate the packaging? This is honestly the best looking mascara I own. It's just so pretty. The Grandiose mascara has a swan neck to create a wide-angle fan effect and make application easier for all eye shapes. This wand is perfect for preventing the beyond annoying smudge on your nose when you misjudge how close your hand is to your face when doing the dreaded other eye. It's also pretty easy to get right down to the lash line. These kinds of rubber brushes kinda scare me because I always seem to impale my eyeball but I've only poked myself once and that's because I was not paying attention to what I was doing. My eyeballs seem to be pretty safe even if the brush does look dangerous.

The formula is pretty damn good and I love how it makes my lashes look. It's so easy to get an even application and if you're in a rush then one sweep gives you a beautiful fan effect. It adds the perfect amount of length and staying power is impressive. This was my go to mascara for ages and has only recently been outdone by smashbox and only because it gives a touch more volume.

If you are looking for a new mascara that looks gorgeous on your dressing table as well as giving you gorgeous lashes then I definitely recommend this one. I definitely think it's worth the price tag.
