New in Nivea Skin Care

Nivea have recently brought out some new skincare products and I was kindly sent some of them to try. I've really been getting into my skincare recently and my favourite part of an evening is cleansing my face, putting on a face mask and enjoying a good cuppa and a book. The products I was sent are perfect for that. They include biodegradable face wipes, a cleanser/scrub, face mask and moisturiser.

Biodegradable Cleansing Wipes* - £3.29 - £1.59 on offer

With everyone trying to reduce their waste Nivea have released some biodegradable wipes made with 100% renewable plant fibres. They contain argan oil & aloe vera to maintain your skins natural balance and provide refreshing moisture whilst being suitable for sensitive skin.

I'm not really a wipes person as they tend to irritate my skin. I prefer using reusable cotton pads and micellar water, especially as I wear a lot of long-lasting liquid eyeliner and I just find this an easier and gentler way to take it off. That being said, these wipes are great for travelling and they stand up pretty well against my makeup.

Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Cream* - £4.10

This moisturiser is infused with vitamin e & antioxidants in order to provide intensive moisture and protect the skin. It was developed to refresh the skin as well as enhance the skins natural moisturisation. It also has an SPF of 15. I normally like a 30 but anything is better than nothing.

This moisturiser is for normal to combination skin so I was worried that it wouldn't work with my extremely dry scales but I was pleasantly surprised. I always use a moisturising serum before it but I find that this provides a pretty decent level of moisture to my skin and leaves it feeling soft and hydrated throughout the day. It sinks in beautifully and is a nice base for my basic summer makeup. It also smells pretty good.

Peel Off Urban Skin Detox Mask* - £6.99

Who doesn't love a good face mask? This mattifying detox mask intensively cleanses and removes dirt from your pores whilst reducing excess sebum and oil.

I love peel off masks but because I'm part werewolf some of them can be painful to remove. This is not one of those. It is so satisfying to peel and isn't in the slightest bit painful. It also leaves my face feeling so soft and glowy. Big fan of this one.

3 in 1 Urban Skin Detox Clay Wash* - £4.99

This face wash is a multi-use formula enriched with black rice, green tea extracts and natural clay. It effectively removes dirt, pollution and gently exfoliates.
It can be used to
- Wash  - Thoroughly cleanse the skin by removing dirt and impurities
- Scrub - Cleanse pores & clarify skin by removing dead skin cells
- Mask - Enhances the mattifying effect and leaves skin radiant

As my skin is quite sensitive I was worried that this was going to be too harsh for everyday use but it has massively cleared up my skin. I've been using it every evening and it leaves my face feeling super soft and clean without drying it out. Once a week I leave it on for 5 mins whilst I make a cup of tea and then rinse it off and it really does leave my skin looking radiant. I am definitely a fan. It is a bit messy though but it could just be me that manages to get it everywhere when I'm rinsing it off.

What skincare are you using at the moment?
