October 2018 Favourites

Well would you look at that, my favourites are late yet again. November is shaping up to be a hectic one. I don't actually have a free weekend now until Christmas. My body is not really a fan and my sacrum is nice and inflamed so any movement of my leg hurts like hell. I am having to go about my life welded to a hot water bottle which makes things interesting.

Anyway here is what I was loving in October and I actually wore makeup so there is more than skincare this month

October 2018 Favourites

The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer

My favourite Fairy Princess, Jen, got me this and I absolutely love it. I am always looking for a good primer because a decent base is essential for my dry skin. Not only does this one seem to cover my dryness but it also sorts out my pores and my makeup applies like a dream. It feels a bit siliconey but it isn't greasy. I was a bit scared that I fell in love with this just as there was a threat of The Ordinary closing so I am so pleased that it's sticking around. At just over a fiver I definitely recommend you check out this primer. The only downside to it is it smells a bit weird.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

I got a mini of this mascara when I picked up the CC cream and oh my god I need the full size asap. This is everything I look for in a mascara and it may have actually stolen the top spot from my fave Smashbox Full Exposure. It lengthens, volumises and curls with a non-clumpy buildable formula. Everyone needs to try this mascara.

Primark Overnight Lip Treatment

I've been really bad at remembering to drink enough recently and I've ended up with super chapped lips. Well, that and my addiction to matte liquid lipsticks. My lips are always in need of some love and I'm always on the lookout for a lip balm that will revive them. This little beauty from Primark cost £2 and is honestly the most moisturising thing I have ever put on my lips.

Unfortunately, I have tried to buy more but someone has always stuck their fingers in every pot despite the fact that there is always a tester available.

Primark Arctic Ice Highlighter

Primark Arctic Ice Highlighter

I am a huge highlighter fan and own a range of brands with a range of prices. I have to say I am loving Primarks offerings at the moment and they are such a bargain. This one cost me £3 and I absolutely adore it.

It's a gorgeous champagne shade and it gives the most gorgeous glow. The packaging is also pretty damn sturdy considering it's a budget range. Highly recommend you check out Primark next time you fancy a glow.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Vintage

Since dying my hair pink again I cannot get enough of this shade. It just works beautifully with my hair and I get so many compliments on it. Vintage is a gorgeous deep orchid colour. The formula is maybe a tad drier than some of the others I own but it's still extremely wearable. It lasts well and packs a punch. I desperately need more shades.

Nivea Cherry Blossom & Jojoba Oil Body Lotion

Nivea Cherry Blossom & Jojoba Oil Body Lotion*

I was kindly sent this for this post a few months ago and it is now my go-to moisturiser. It's a lightweight, non-greasy formula that sinks in extremely fast and leaves my skin hydrated and silky. I also adore the pump dispenser as I don't have to wrestle with any lids. The scent isn't too overpowering either.

What have you been enjoying?
