August 2018 Favourites

My favourites from August mainly consist of skincare. Once again I've been overdoing it and crashing hard. I really need to slow down because I'm not sure how much more my body can put up with. Luckily, my baby brother has just started uni, which definitely makes me feel super old because I started 7 years ago. Where does the time go? However, it does mean that with him busy at uni my life will probably calm down because it's normally him I'm running around with.

Barry M Dewy Makeup Setting Spray - I've never really used a setting spray before but I don't think I will ever be able to go back now. I do really want to try the Urban Decay one but for now, my bank balance requests drugstore products. I have actually had this for quite a few months but I've only recently tried it. It gives me a nice dewy glow and keeps my face in place for longer.

Palmers Coconut Oil Swivel Stick - I picked this up on a whim because I adore palmers and all things coconut. Plus my lips were super dry. I am hooked. It smells and tastes delicious and it leaves my lips super soft. I've also been using it on random dry patches on my hands.

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Voyager - I mentioned the nude shade, Seductress, in Julys favourites post and oh my gosh this shade might be even better. Voyager is a gorgeous deep burgundy red. We all know that I love a dark lip and this one is perfect. It applies beautifully without streaks and the lasting power is outrageous. I have never had a drugstore liquid lipstick last so long and still be comfortable. I will have a full review post up asap but just know that you should definitely be checking these out.

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter - After running out of the Palmers Cleansing Oil from Julys favourites I panicked and didn't know what to use to remove my makeup. Luckily I found some of this amongst my many skincare products. I honestly don't know why I ever stopped using it. It melts all my makeup off including my liquid lipsticks and eyeliner. It's easy to remove with water and it leaves my face squeaky clean without drying it out or irritating it. Will definitely be repurchasing this as soon as I run out.

Simple Water Boost Sleeping Cream Face Moisturiser - I am forever trying new moisturisers to try and hydrate my extremely dry skin. This is one of the cheapest ones I have tried recently and I am loving it. It really does boost my hydration levels whilst I'm sleeping. I wake up with plump skin and it gives me a nicer base to apply my makeup. I will be picking up some more of the new Water Boost range to try out because if they are as good as this moisturiser then my face could finally be properly hydrated.

Garnier Natural Aloe Extract Moisturiser - I picked this up at the same time as the Simple one and I love them both. I've been using this in the morning and it leaves my face so refreshed and hydrated. My makeup applies well over it and it seems to keep my face hydrated for longer than others I've tried. I really want to try the honey flower one next as that one is for dry skin. I mean if this one is already providing amazing hydration imagine what the one specifically for dry skin will do.

How was your August? I think I might finally be ready for some cooler weather so I can wear cosy knits and snuggle up with a good boxset and a cuppa. What are your favourite things about Autumn?
