Book Review// Her Secret by Kelly Florentia

When I was asked if I wanted to review this book I was so excited. The end of the last book ended with a bit of a question on who Audrey chose and I needed to know everything that happened. I am now way too invested in her life. I mean I definitely had a favourite guy (hint: I def prefer Nick). This book did not disappoint and answered all my questions, including ones I didn't know I had.

"When one door closes, another opens, or so the saying goes.

After being in a long-term relationship for eight years, Audrey Fox never thought she'd tie the knot. But at the age of forty-two, fate throws her a lifeline and she finally has it all - a loving husband, successful career, beautiful family and loyal friends. Life couldn't be better for Audrey ... until a family member entrusts her with a secret that threatens trouble in paradise.

Lying to her new husband definitely wasn't on the cards when Audrey took her vows, but now she feels there's no other choice. She either keeps the secret or risks hurting the people that she loves. And then just when the dust seems to settle, an old flame turns up and creates a storm that could bring her world crashing down ...

Unable to discuss her dilemma with her significant friends Louise and Tina, or sister-in-law Vicky, the cracks begin to show. Torn between her husband and the people she's known and loved for years, Audrey's perfect life begins to spiral out of control. Where do her loyalties lie and whom can she trust? Because there's no smoke without fire and everyone has secrets ... don't they?"
Her Secret by Kelly Florentia Review
As I mentioned in my review of the previous book, this isn't a genre I would usually go for. I tend to stick to the crime thrillers with all the murders. However, I did actually thoroughly enjoy this series.

After all the drama of the last book, Audrey is finally happily married with a job she loves and amazing friends. However, a secret that she is forced to keep may just put an end to that. By trying to keep everyone happy she ends up stressing herself out. Then things just keep getting worse and she doesn't know who she can trust. Is someone following her? Is she losing her mind?

If you thought the last book was dramatic then you are in for a treat with this one. It is non stop drama with all the twists and turns. I honestly didn't know who to believe and I had no guesses as to what was going to happen. Towards the end, I started questioning her husband's behaviour but the ending was definitely a shock.

Kelly Florentia Review

Her series celebrates women in their 40-50s that lead vibrant, sexy and fun lives. It highlights the universal themes of step-parenting, love in your 40s and never truly knowing yourself until you are tested.

Even though this book is all about women in their 40-50s and I'm not quite there yet I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved hearing all about Audrey's life and seeing her amazing friendships. There are so many amazing characters that you just want to sit and have a glass of wine with. I think Her Secret was my favourite out of the two and I found Audrey much more likeable.

I would definitely recommend reading No Way Back first as Her Secret will ruin all the suspense of the first book if you haven't read it. It also makes you understand Audrey's life and emotions so much better.
