2020 Beauty Favourites

So this was supposed to be my first post back but I didn't have any photos sorted. As you can see I never mustered the energy to try and take photos of my makeup in the crappy winter lighting so I opted for a collage instead and actually had a lot of fun making it. Photos is normally what stops me from posting because it's hard work on my body so I think this might be the thing that actually gets me posting more. I'm going to do a mix of these kinds of images and actual photos when my body is cooperating. Here's to hopefully posting more than a handful of times in 2021. 

I thought my first post back would be the beauty products I reached for most last year. I mean I wore makeup a handful of times but these were the items I used and loved. I've finally got my skincare sorted so my makeup applies so much better and I enjoy it so much more. 2019 Beauty Favourites

My favourite thing to reflect on in the new year is all the products I have loved. You can see all the products that I've loved through the years here - 2016 - 2017 - 2018. I scaled back on my base makeup this year but I am still a sucker for a good lipstick. I also found my all time favourite eyeliner which I will never part with.  So, here are the products I was constantly reaching for and absolutely loved throughout 2019.

June 2019 Favourites

Who's ready for another late favourites post? I haven't done one of these for a while because I haven't really been wearing makeup or using anything particularly exciting. I mean I still haven't been using anything revolutionary and I've only worn a little bit of makeup but I finally had enough products I've enjoyed using to make a post. July's should hopefully be more exciting. 

March 2019 Favourites

I don't mean to brag but this is my 4th post recently. Not only have I actually posted but my favourites post is even on time. I don't know what has happened to me. The name change and new blog design really have helped motivate me. Now, onto my favourites apart from my new design. There's no makeup in this month's favourites. I haven't really been wearing any and if I do it's pretty much all stuff that was in my 2018 favourites.

February 2019 Favourites

 I never got around to doing a January faves post. I mean it didn't help that I have barely worn makeup recently. I am determined to play around with more this month. I even bought a super bright eyeshadow palette to mess around with. This month's favourites isn't a particularly big one either. Just the essentials, moisturiser, highlighter and lipstick. What more do you need? Oh, the shit tons of hot Ribena I've been drinking because I've felt crappy.

2018 Beauty favourites

Sorry for the two beauty favourite posts in a row but I wanted to share my 2018 faves with you. I definitely fell in love with skincare more which has helped my shitty skin so much. Also, it wouldn't be my favourites without a few liquid lipsticks and the best eyeliner I have ever tried in my life.

December 2018 Favourites

I am determined that 2019 is the year I get my shit together with my blog. I have a new planner, my desk is all set up and I actually have some post ideas. Photography has always been my issue. I am never fully happy with how my photos turn out so I either put off taking them or scrap them and end up with a load of photoless posts sat in my drafts. This year I'm going to work on my photography but I am also going to be less hard on myself and just go with it. 

January is going to include quite a few favourites posts. We are kicking off with my December favourites. I also have my 2018 beauty faves post to come as well as my favourite books of 2018 and I may squeeze in a lifestyle favourites. 

October 2018 Favourites

Well would you look at that, my favourites are late yet again. November is shaping up to be a hectic one. I don't actually have a free weekend now until Christmas. My body is not really a fan and my sacrum is nice and inflamed so any movement of my leg hurts like hell. I am having to go about my life welded to a hot water bottle which makes things interesting.

Anyway here is what I was loving in October and I actually wore makeup so there is more than skincare this month

August 2018 Favourites

My favourites from August mainly consist of skincare. Once again I've been overdoing it and crashing hard. I really need to slow down because I'm not sure how much more my body can put up with. Luckily, my baby brother has just started uni, which definitely makes me feel super old because I started 7 years ago. Where does the time go? However, it does mean that with him busy at uni my life will probably calm down because it's normally him I'm running around with. 

July 2018 Favourites

Wow, I actually have my favourites post written on time. As usual, I'm still not wearing much makeup 1. I don't have the energy 2. I've not really been anywhere and 3. It's still too warm even with the rain. So I've pretty much been sticking to Mascara, Brow Gel, highlighter and a nude lip and I am so in love with it. Obsessed with being a glowly lil angel.

June 2018 Favourites

As usual my favourites are a bit late. My body is not a happy bunny at the moment. If I do anything I seem to need to sleep for the whole of the next day. My concentration has been at about 1% which is not conducive to writing posts. Luckily I seem to have found a burst of energy and motivation so I am writing this up and editing the photos at 11:50pm whilst having a lil disco. What songs are you loving at the moment? I am in need of some recommendations. 

Anyway here are the products I have been loving recently. There's only a few because June has been a pretty naked face month. Here's hoping I get to play with more products this month.

May 2018 Favourites

May was such a busy month. I turned 25, I got to meet Charley and one of my best friends got married. Basketball season has finished for summer and I finally get some of my weekends back. Hopefully this means I might actually get some blogging done. I also desperately want to dye my hair a less boring colour asap. Purple or pink will be happening soon. What have you guys all been up to?

Anyway here's what I was loving in May apart from getting old. 

April 2018 Favourites

I don't want to jinx it but I seem to be on a roll with posts at the moment. It feels so good to actually be posting again. I can't remember the last time I wrote and posted regularly. It's definitely been about 6 months.

Anyway April has flown by. My baby brother is now 19 and I feel super old. May means I turn 25. On the plus side my car insurance finally goes down a lot because apparently over 25 year olds drive like saints. My best friend also gets married in May and I cannot wait for the big day. Plus I'll be reunited with all my uni friends. We haven't seen each other in forever. May is going to be a good month. I can feel it.

So here's what I loved in April. Once again it's a fair bit of skincare. I feel like next month there will be more makeup featured.

January 2018 Favourites

Okay so January was a complete blogging fail. To be fair I didn't really do much at all apart from be ill and overdo it playing basketball. Here's hoping February is the month I can get my shit together. I mean this is my second post of the month and I actually scheduled it so fingers crossed it lasts. As I haven't been up to much this month, my favourites are very limited. It's basically skincare and lip products but who doesn't love a good face mask?

2017 Beauty Faves

Starting the year as I mean to go on...late with my favourites. I thought I'd write up my 2017 beauty favourites to share with you, you can also check out what I loved in 2016 here. It was meant to go up last week but unfortunately, 2018 has just consisted of a massive headache so far. I am on day 12 of a damn cluster headache that I can't seem to shake. I have finally managed to get this post finished though so after a bit of a delay here are the beauty products that stood out in 2017

December 2017 Favourites

I actually have a favourites post this month and it's even a tad early. I'm still not really wearing makeup much and if I do it tends to just be eyeliner, mascara, highlighter and lipstick. October 2017 Favourites

No your eyes are not deceiving you. I actually have a new post up. My favourites this month are a bit of a mash up with only a couple of beauty bits. I've been pretty lazy this month when it comes to makeup. I've even pretty much given up on foundation because I just can't find one that works with my dry skin. Let me know if you have any cruelty free foundation recommendations for dry skin. Preferably medium to full coverage.

As usual my monthly favourites is a little bit late. At the start of every month I promise myself that this is the month I am going to get my shit together and post on a proper schedule and then it all goes wrong. July 2017 Beauty Favourites

This post is definitely a lot later than planned but my back has been pretty angry so I haven't been able to take any photos. It's been written for ages. I finally got some today so here are my beauty favourites from July. I didn't really wear much makeup but when I did I have been loving either a nude or super bright red lip.
