So here is my favourite romance reads of 2023. It's only really been the last 2 years that I've started reading romance again and I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I obviously still love a good thriller though and you can see my <b><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2024/01/2023-crime-thriller-favourites.html" target="_blank">2023 favourite crime thrillers here</a></b>. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I thought I would do a roundup of the Kindle books that Amazon has on offer this month that I recommend. There are a couple in here that I either own and haven't read yet or that I plan on buying. There's a pretty good selection on offer this month which is why this post took me so damn long. There were some more that I see recommended all the time, so definitely go have a browse, but these are the ones that I've read or bought. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg8-wbI476ojSE-2ng24DLVMwytARV8_oQR2Z7EMvhNipqI7yv1Tu2mPcd5sks-la929aTyyqYWTXU6b777hFePkS7E_Jxs9EcJNDbjLKPzGDqnkEQ2ZtwhKyZaUDqrsFKS54WCNTgYyQetQB2Jf_vQX02IAgh8aDjSvcFf4jq3_2piz4KoLKaB8_kXOVbz" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It’s a spin-off from the Kane & Alton series with new lead characters, as well as appearances from some characters we already know. The book is set in a small mining town, Rattlesnake Creek with ME Shane Wolfe and FBI agents Jo Wells & Ty Carter just a short helicopter ride away. Special Agent Beth Katz is an FBI agent with a big secret. She also happens to be a vigilante serial killer using her job to find any trash that needs taking out. She's been sent to Rattlesnake Creek to work with loner Dax Styles and it might be the best thing that's happened to her dark side. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><b><a href="https://amzn.to/3PwluV8" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Dark Angel</a>*</b> - <b>Special Agent Beth Katz Book 1</b></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Now I’m never on time with these posts but this may be the latest I have ever done a favourite books I read last year post. So in 2022, I read a grand total of 106 books. I think that is the most I’ve ever read and I really enjoyed it. I made a conscious decision to spend less time scrolling and more time reading and I got to read so many good books. I also mixed it up this year and started incorporating more romance into my reading pile. It makes a nice change from the grizzly murders I usually read. I obviously still love those too. It was definitely a struggle to narrow down my favourites so I opted for 6 crime/thrillers and 6 romance.</p><p><b>Favourite Crime/Thriller reads in 2022</b></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It makes up probably 90% of what I read. I'm always being asked for recommendations but I know that some people are put off because they don't want to read any gory details. Sometimes you just want the suspense and to be creeped out without reading grisly murder details. So I thought I'd put together a list of some of my favourite thrillers that don't feature the blood and guts. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">*Post contains affiliate links</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhROAZ0MS5c3ayKT12pK9jApyVDY73CFGY61m6h6SMjAPhAPfyPt8gWGFLFN00TMZW38gGZU0FbzD_MQeGkjRRd3cISg1heh-YHerrFdW32cnmxhcor1L44I83j3RZZBJefcpmsACOGd3ExsULQAI1AjlTTLjGKHdo4471Vf18OVyuSac5Goew92QRGYw/s1200/20221016_152201_0000.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Collage of book covers featuring Beyond Fear, Scared Yet and Darkest Place by Jaye Ford, Degrees of guilt by HS Chandler and Don't wake up, I'll find you and the next wife by liz lawler" border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="1200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhROAZ0MS5c3ayKT12pK9jApyVDY73CFGY61m6h6SMjAPhAPfyPt8gWGFLFN00TMZW38gGZU0FbzD_MQeGkjRRd3cISg1heh-YHerrFdW32cnmxhcor1L44I83j3RZZBJefcpmsACOGd3ExsULQAI1AjlTTLjGKHdo4471Vf18OVyuSac5Goew92QRGYw/s16000/20221016_152201_0000.png" title="Non Gory crime thrillers"></a></div><span></span><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2022/10/non-gory-crime-thrillers.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-87457998766813256102022-06-14T15:20:00.000+01:002022-06-14T15:20:02.128+01:00Glisten Cosmetics Wet Liners<p> As we all know by now, I adore a winged liner. And what's better than a beautiful wing? A colourful wing. Water activated cake liners are my newest addiciton and I will not stop until I have every colour. I have a <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/07/suva-hydra-liners.html" target="_blank">review on Suva Beauty's</a></u></b> offering but I recently discovered <b><u><a href="https://www.glistencosmetics.com/" target="_blank">Glisten Cosmetics</a></u></b> and I am a huge fan. I highly recommend <b><u><a href="https://www.instagram.com/glisten_cosmetics/" target="_blank">following them on Instagram</a></u></b> for so many cute looks and lots of graphic liner inspiration. If you scroll to the end of this post I've also added some photos of how I wear my eyeliner. </p><p>Glisten Cosmetics is a UK based small business that specialises in these gorgeous water ativated liners but they also sell brushes, lashes, lip gloss, highlighter and an absolutely stunning chroma collection. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVgFmbfqCL2-rhnKuqTF0GZlbyfBhdTXVR-9ZiyOz6mC66-wplwDWEJOJDJ3LGm-Ba79x53GDXEyxRGM_358vCzv6yo2SCFsFW6eFqp0xCvZFl9nk7Tw8ezymsvN43w268exLcpW-MbNnzQBoGWUjwT5NM3rC3eAnqcWxsBSV6kmt0UQZci3Su7U4GFA/s1500/Glisten_Cosmetic_Eyeliners.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pots of glisten cosmetics wet liners in all the colours of the rainbow. I'm determined that 2022 is the year I get my shit together with blogging. So I thought I'd start with sharing my favourite books that I read in 2021. I read a lot last year and enjoyed it so much that I smashed my reading challenge of 80 books and finished the year on 90. Narrowing down 90 books to my top 12 was extremely hard but here are my faves. All of these products are from their Naturally Good range which is a part of their long-term commitment to using less plastic and more sustainably sourced ingredients and recycled/recyclable materials. </p><p>If you've been waiting on a review of the cleanser bar from me, sorry it took me so long but I really wanted to put it through its paces and I'm pleased to say it passed with flying colours. Read on for a full review. </p><p>And in case you didn't know Nivea now have a store on <b><u><a href="https://www.nivea.co.uk/products" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">their website</a></u></b> meaning you can buy all of their products in one place.</p><p>This post contains PR Products and affiliate links. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikRpeVhyTx6Ia7teZMdER1PjBqJmWSI4JSkBFvi1p3hnVIjSQ7LifFlu0AB2MzAL2fSCTe4UGt_2dPRBia058OL7KGH4WdlvGGsyq6NYNcnkQA7uBAijcYLp9LDapN43ZfgN00mZs03f_R/s1200/Nivea_Naturally_Good_Range_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="a flatlay showing a day cream, night cream, face cleansing bar, shower gel and body lotion from Nivea with doodles of leaves and flowers around it" border="0" data-original-height="688" data-original-width="1200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikRpeVhyTx6Ia7teZMdER1PjBqJmWSI4JSkBFvi1p3hnVIjSQ7LifFlu0AB2MzAL2fSCTe4UGt_2dPRBia058OL7KGH4WdlvGGsyq6NYNcnkQA7uBAijcYLp9LDapN43ZfgN00mZs03f_R/s16000/Nivea_Naturally_Good_Range_.jpg" title="Nivea Naturally good range"></a></div><span></span><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/09/niveas-naturally-good-range.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-79146917292363349222021-07-23T17:21:00.000+01:002021-07-23T17:21:04.649+01:00Suva Hydra Liners<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If you follow me on <b><u><a href="http://Instagram.com/BethElizabethuk" target="_blank">Instagram</a></u></b> you will know how much I love a colourful wing. I suck at eyeshadow so bright eyeliner is how I inject some colour into my makeup. I discovered the <b><u><a href="https://www.suvabeauty.com/collections/hydra-liners-fx" target="_blank">Suva Hydra Liners</a></u></b> last year and I adore them. I’ve recently added some more colours to my collection and thought it was time to share them with you. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">These liners are water activated cake liners that are smudge and transfer proof once they have dried. The staying power of these liners is absolutely incredible, unless you get caught in the pissing rain, then you look like a racoon at pride. They are also an intense opaque formula and the colour payoff is unlike any liner I have ever tried. One sweep packs such a punch. There are a couple different finishes including matte, metallic chrome and UV Neon. I think all the shades I have are the UV formulas so they glow in the dark under UV and blacklight. In normal light, they are just a matte finish and super bright. They are also vegan and cruelty free. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd5U-x4QUpsoHgN6FRnq8D6s64WIrXmfiubb-VBDORwTjb7bmXutvMhWitakE0j9WGOOj-XKtKuxWoF3pYScQFlc-DpfCeDIbOg-4DK2J8tnITVgJD1oILNKhFkkJrn7TGYt65mk0ULmkn/s1200/Suva_Hydra_Liners_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="A flatlay showing 5 suva hydra fx liner pots and a liner palette with various brushes and flowers around them." border="0" data-original-height="781" data-original-width="1200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd5U-x4QUpsoHgN6FRnq8D6s64WIrXmfiubb-VBDORwTjb7bmXutvMhWitakE0j9WGOOj-XKtKuxWoF3pYScQFlc-DpfCeDIbOg-4DK2J8tnITVgJD1oILNKhFkkJrn7TGYt65mk0ULmkn/s16000/Suva_Hydra_Liners_1.jpg" title="Suva Hydra Liner Review"></a></div><span></span><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/07/suva-hydra-liners.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-76835804148058440242021-06-13T08:00:00.012+01:002021-09-09T15:21:26.765+01:00Current Skincare Routine for Dry Skin<p>If you've followed me for a while you will know I have been battling with (and moaning about) horrendously dry skin. My face was like the Sahara and I couldn't wear foundation without it cracking on my skin and making me look like I had scales. I had finally accepted that foundation wasn't for me. However, I am pleased to report I have mastered my skincare and I now have a nice plump and hydrated face. So I thought I'd share what has worked for me. Obviously, I am not an expert and I know next to nothing about skincare. This has just been many years of trial and error. Also needs to be noted that I drink a lot of water because I also have a forever dry mouth (it's a meds side effect) and I've cut out dairy which helped with my breakouts.</p><p>This post contains affiliate links<span style="font-size: small;">**</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPlQYZftMnKYxYd_ECBALElr_uKSctG_yFauzOTkvoGvg1rLFXOUosDxAm3OIaKhNEHtlH2rm0HD44mYRWtDW85ex6eINPt_dBG-ryZatbDnLfiA1sFxnXAfxIB1H7s4vQOaA40PDxPAPU/s1200/Morning+Skincare.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Collage of skincare products including glossier milky jelly cleanser, pixi glow tonic, body shop drops of light serum and moisturiser, body shop skin defence, nivea face spf and glossier balm dotcom" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="1200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPlQYZftMnKYxYd_ECBALElr_uKSctG_yFauzOTkvoGvg1rLFXOUosDxAm3OIaKhNEHtlH2rm0HD44mYRWtDW85ex6eINPt_dBG-ryZatbDnLfiA1sFxnXAfxIB1H7s4vQOaA40PDxPAPU/s16000/Morning+Skincare.png" title="Morning Skincare"></a></div><span></span><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/06/skincare-for-dry-skin.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-91577290040109250042021-04-28T14:44:00.001+01:002021-04-28T14:44:27.839+01:00Glossier Review<p><b><u><a href="https://www.glossier.com/products/balm-dotcom" target="_blank"></a></u></b></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><p style="text-align: left;">Glossier is a highly talked about brand. I've seen a lot of people raving about their skincare along with their simple makeup. They are all about dewy, glowy skin and promote perfecting your skincare first, makeup second. I haven't tried many of their products but the ones that I have, have been a bit of a mixed bag. There are products that I absolutely adore and are now a staple in my routine and a few that I think are overhyped *cough Boy Brow cough*. I do definitely think they are worth checking out though. </p><p><b><u><a href="https://www.glossier.com/products/balm-dotcom" target="_blank"><span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Collage of glossier products including the milky jelly cleanser, balm dotcoms and priming moisturiser" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="1200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXCBQq20WkGx1SHNSR6tVCkjZt2RD0Rk3cAd9SQTs4FozY8qmOnr7Tii8VRBRHHb4M95JRBvpCadcww4TuUAS2x8qXGQXhgGrnwimVKlNvYXjlqN7CA-I6Qsb5PSSyFNBg7jyBL3y3TdPk/s16000/Glossier+Skincare.png" title="Glossier Review"></span></a></u></b></p></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><u><a href="https://www.glossier.com/products/balm-dotcom" target="_blank"><span></span></a></u></b></div><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/04/glossier-review.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-45071135939161808372021-02-13T14:35:00.003+00:002021-09-10T15:58:26.379+01:00The Body Shop Review - Every Product I've Tried<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Well, this is going to be quite the post. Just doing the pictures and the links took me forever. Who knew I had tried so many Body Shop products. I knew I liked their skincare but I didn't realise I loved so many products. This is a bumper review post of every Body Shop product I have ever tried which amounts to 45 products including skincare, body products and makeup. I've grouped them in their ranges to try and make it easier for you if you are looking for a review on a specific product. So let's jump in. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This post contains affiliate links<span style="font-size: x-small;">**</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><br></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWoc-lhW8dFQAXwbZA3__4Hf5DewYLuYlGTiZHBpixCIF2UfCZoqTEiE82kfa6WG78H7jmX8f8An9fPu3KgjeeoFsbyveu-ZLyW7qgHSBR5VuKemJ2ukeS1Tb0OGhAR3to7C0SxgIK07op/s1000/0001-16658857931_20210209_160939_0000.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Collage showing a range of body shop skincare from the vitamin c range" border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="1000" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWoc-lhW8dFQAXwbZA3__4Hf5DewYLuYlGTiZHBpixCIF2UfCZoqTEiE82kfa6WG78H7jmX8f8An9fPu3KgjeeoFsbyveu-ZLyW7qgHSBR5VuKemJ2ukeS1Tb0OGhAR3to7C0SxgIK07op/s16000/0001-16658857931_20210209_160939_0000.png" title="Body Shop Vitamin C range review"></a></div><span></span><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/02/the-body-shop-review.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-69967262819436954912021-02-07T12:15:00.000+00:002021-02-07T12:15:11.031+00:00Read In Jan 2021<p>I didn't know whether to bring back my monthly roundups of books I've read but it's such a good way of keeping track of what I've read (I am also on <b><u><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/32950827-beth" target="_blank">Goodreads</a></u></b> though). My mum also uses it to work out what to read next so I guess it's here to stay. I've started off the year well with 6 books under my belt so hoping to keep it up and smash my goal of 80 books this year (you can <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/01/top-books-of-2020.html" target="_blank">check out my faves from last year</a></u></b> as well). Anyway, here's what I read last month. As usual, they are all murder related. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBcg2soUrqEx5NQ7inEM24-zU_yVLvPe0eeBS7U2DJkkRu1F2l1lVfGPrvphK1jgh5FQh0Cq-ooJeEkXILk8ZuWbBgyD-s3zigHW26gOibX8SfLcWW4z-JF-t_9-ViIHSxto90sYL8ULKI/s1500/20210207_115120_0000.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Collage showing the book covers for Wildflower Graves, Gone before and the wicked sister" border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="1500" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBcg2soUrqEx5NQ7inEM24-zU_yVLvPe0eeBS7U2DJkkRu1F2l1lVfGPrvphK1jgh5FQh0Cq-ooJeEkXILk8ZuWbBgyD-s3zigHW26gOibX8SfLcWW4z-JF-t_9-ViIHSxto90sYL8ULKI/s16000/20210207_115120_0000.png" title="Books I read in January"></a></div><p><b><u><span></span></u></b></p><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/02/read-in-jan-2021.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-34052582110229515522021-01-28T16:24:00.002+00:002021-01-28T16:24:52.517+00:00Top Books of 2020<p><span style="font-family: inherit;"> I was hoping that all this extra time we had in 2020 would mean that I could read more but alas it didn't happen. Between moving back in with my parents to a houseful of people and a building site, getting a horse and the general poor concentration of a pandemic I didn't quite reach my reading goal. I had a good go though. I managed to read 66 books out of the 80 I planned. 4 short of 2019's achievement (<b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2020/04/favourite-books-of-2019.html" target="_blank">You can see my favourites from then here</a></u></b>). So I've set it at 80 again and we'll see how we go. In the meantime, I thought I'd share my favourite books of the year with you. As you can see I never mustered the energy to try and take photos of my makeup in the crappy winter lighting so I opted for a collage instead and actually had a lot of fun making it. Photos is normally what stops me from posting because it's hard work on my body so I think this might be the thing that actually gets me posting more. I'm going to do a mix of these kinds of images and actual photos when my body is cooperating. Here's to hopefully posting more than a handful of times in 2021. </p><p>I thought my first post back would be the beauty products I reached for most last year. I mean I wore makeup a handful of times but these were the items I used and loved. I've finally got my skincare sorted so my makeup applies so much better and I enjoy it so much more. You can also see how my loves have changed by checking out my posts from - <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2017/01/2016-beauty-favourites.html" target="_blank">2016</a></u></b> - <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2018/01/2017-beauty-faves.html" target="_blank">2017</a></u></b> - <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2019/01/2018-beauty-favourites.html" target="_blank">2018</a></u></b> - <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2020/02/2019-beauty-favourites.html" target="_blank">2019</a></u></b></p><p>This post contains affiliate links</p><p><b>Base</b></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSP1KtvbTqbkxeGCKePqP9_JpZWaB6S_hJzJIft93V9eUTi7xn8PiIzNV7wCBHk3AOvoQVaiBEpIDzvM_zSRsnWIkA-BfRSaz3JVA9asKhk-8XFqsed-BKg-oC2Uca4rO83I7ZhJLZjOkQ/s1999/2020_Beauty_Favourites.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Collage of base makeup on a pink background with hearts and flowers." border="0" data-original-height="1599" data-original-width="1999" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSP1KtvbTqbkxeGCKePqP9_JpZWaB6S_hJzJIft93V9eUTi7xn8PiIzNV7wCBHk3AOvoQVaiBEpIDzvM_zSRsnWIkA-BfRSaz3JVA9asKhk-8XFqsed-BKg-oC2Uca4rO83I7ZhJLZjOkQ/s16000/2020_Beauty_Favourites.png" title="Favourite base makeup products"></a></div><p></p><p><b><span></span></b></p><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/01/2020-beauty-favourites.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-48220234939713551032021-01-06T14:25:00.000+00:002021-01-06T14:25:09.068+00:00Equestrian Winter Essentials<p>Surprise, I'm back. I can't believe how long it's been since I last wrote on here. The pandemic just wiped out all of my motivation and concentration. I also got a horse which meant that getting our land and stables ready for William took up a big chunk of my life and energy. We're all settled in now and I think I'm finally ready to get my shit together and actually start writing on here again. Now, this wasn't actually supposed to be my first post back but this one is finished and the other one is not. Hopefully my 2020 beauty faves will be out on Friday. </p><p>We all know I am a Summer fan (if we ignore the heat triggered migraines). I hate being cold and the rain gets on my nerves. So getting a horse in September was not my brightest idea. I have however found as many ways as possible to make leaving the house in the am hours (I am not a morning person) whilst it's freezing slightly more bearable. Plus having William's cute face waiting for me makes it all worthwhile. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJm_HOTBc6MKCvKJJXEl7YKYBlc_ZsAjXEeUh8UcRZlN4GQ1j6fuZsQElNsfnI7HoOdAUfff32JITkzgMd08F3lbJ4rJ_DaOmrgJyUJsEz0dfvJOX97j9DbOc4m2rYhk0sjQGn_w-tkWX6/s1000/Winter_Wear.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="A girl stood on a snow covered road wearing a thick coat, a girl in the snow wearing a pink knit headband, a girl stood on a snowy bank in a black gilet" border="0" data-original-height="496" data-original-width="1000" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJm_HOTBc6MKCvKJJXEl7YKYBlc_ZsAjXEeUh8UcRZlN4GQ1j6fuZsQElNsfnI7HoOdAUfff32JITkzgMd08F3lbJ4rJ_DaOmrgJyUJsEz0dfvJOX97j9DbOc4m2rYhk0sjQGn_w-tkWX6/s16000/Winter_Wear.png" title="Yours Clothing Coats"></a></div><p><b><a href="https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=19275&awinaffid=801191&clickref2=Blog&ued=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.yoursclothing.co.uk%2Fkhaki-green-pu-panelled-puffer-jacket-p" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line: underline;" target="_blank"><span></span></a></b></p><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2021/01/equestrian-winter-essentials.html#more"></a>Bethan Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07087852737291804291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183291338506328151.post-21214913093280047582020-04-20T07:30:00.000+01:002020-04-20T12:58:37.805+01:00The Blood On My Hands - True Crime AutobiographyI don't tend to read much true crime, instead opting for the fictional world of crime with witty, lovable detectives and crimes that seem a bit far fetched. However, a while ago (sorry Shannon & Kelsey for the super long delay) I was asked if I wanted to read Shannon's story and I was definitely intrigued. I think we can all forget that serial killers have families that are affected.<br>

However, it is perfect timing if you are looking for something to read during the lockdown. All of these books bar one are crime thrillers so if you are looking for gruesome murder to distract you then I highly recommend checking these out.<br>

</div>
First off I would like to apologise for the sheer amount of pictures of my face in this post. There were just so many colours to show off. If you know me then you will know that I feel most me with bright hair. It all started many years ago with a pink dip dye that soon became all over in your face pink. I switched between pink and blonde for a few years and then I discovered purple. It is hands down my favourite colour to be. I do however mix it up by adding pink or blue.<br>
<br>
When I was pink I used the <b><u><a href="https://www.superdrug.com/Hair/Hair-Colourants/Semi-Permanent/LIVE-Ultra-Brights-093-Shocking-Pink-Hair-Dye/p/651354" target="_blank">Schwarzkopf Live Ultra Brights in Shocking Pink</a></u></b>. You can check out <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2015/02/pink-hair-dont-care.html" target="_blank">my retro post </a></u></b>from 5 whole years ago to see some terrible quality photos of baby faced me with long pink hair. They do have a purple dye but it didn't take to my hair very well and turned pink after one wash which is why it took me so long to actually go purple.<br>

You can see all the products that I've loved through the years here - <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2017/01/2016-beauty-favourites.html#.WlZFWahl_IU" target="_blank">2016</a></u></b> - <b><u><a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2018/01/2017-beauty-faves.html" target="_blank">2017</a></u></b> - <a href="https://www.bethanelizabeth.com/2019/01/2018-beauty-favourites.html" style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration-line: underline;" target="_blank">2018</a>. I scaled back on my base makeup this year but I am still a sucker for a good lipstick. I also found my all time favourite eyeliner which I will never part with. So, here are the products I was constantly reaching for and absolutely loved throughout 2019.<br>

More than usual. Will I ever get a post up on time? I highly doubt it. However, part of it isn’t my fault. I moved house over Christmas (terrible idea, don’t ever do it) and I still don’t have wifi. The geniuses that re-plastered after the previous tenants fire decided to just plaster over the phone line so now I have no way of getting internet until that is sorted and OpenReach are shit at their job. I’m currently trying to survive off my phone data and am now at my parents to steal their wifi to finally get some posts scheduled.<br>
<br>
I know these posts can make people feel a bit shitty about what they haven’t achieved, me included. However, I need to write this. I love to look back on things I did over the year, no matter how small. It makes me realise that I did more than I thought and it reminds me of the good things that did happen amongst the huge amounts of pain and many flares with copious naps and not leaving the house for days on end.<br>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fenty Beauty became available to buy in boots this year on my birthday. Obviously, this meant I had to treat myself. Since then I have amassed a pretty decent collection of mainly lipsticks. I just can't help it. I love a good lipstick. The bolder the better and Fenty really do deliver on bold colours. They also deliver on my other weakness. Gorgeous packaging. Seriously, have you ever seen prettier lipsticks? They just look so good on my dressing table. They are also cruelty-free so it would be rude not to. </div>

I was roped into helping my brother's team avoid a forfeit and I've been hooked ever since. I've been playing for around 3 years and I enjoy it way more than I ever expected. Not that you would guess by my constant moaning on <b><u><a href="http://twitter.com/bethelizabethuk" target="_blank">twitter</a></u></b> about having to get up early on weekends. I train 2-3 times a week and play games on the weekend. It's an intense sport and I do end up injured but it's so worth it for me. I also love that I've made so many new friends and have a whole other family.<br>
