Glisten Cosmetics Wet Liners

As we all know by now, I adore a winged liner. And what's better than a beautiful wing? A colourful wing. Water activated cake liners are my newest addiciton and I will not stop until I have every colour. I have a review on Suva Beauty's offering but I recently discovered Glisten Cosmetics and I am a huge fan. I highly recommend following them on Instagram for so many cute looks and lots of graphic liner inspiration. If you scroll to the end of this post I've also added some photos of how I wear my eyeliner.

Glisten Cosmetics is a UK based small business that specialises in these gorgeous water ativated liners but they also sell brushes, lashes, lip gloss, highlighter and an absolutely stunning chroma collection.

Nivea Naturally Good Range

I'm a big fan of Nivea's body care but I've recently fallen in love with some of their skincare too and thought I would share. All of these products are from their Naturally Good range which is a part of their long-term commitment to using less plastic and more sustainably sourced ingredients and recycled/recyclable materials.

If you've been waiting on a review of the cleanser bar from me, sorry it took me so long but I really wanted to put it through its paces and I'm pleased to say it passed with flying colours. Read on for a full review.

And in case you didn't know Nivea now have a store on their website meaning you can buy all of their products in one place.

Suva Hydra Liners

If you follow me on Instagram you will know how much I love a colourful wing. I suck at eyeshadow so bright eyeliner is how I inject some colour into my makeup. I discovered the Suva Hydra Liners last year and I adore them. I’ve recently added some more colours to my collection and thought it was time to share them with you.

These liners are water activated cake liners that are smudge and transfer proof once they have dried. The staying power of these liners is absolutely incredible, unless you get caught in the pissing rain, then you look like a racoon at pride. They are also an intense opaque formula and the colour payoff is unlike any liner I have ever tried. One sweep packs such a punch. There are a couple different finishes including matte, metallic chrome and UV Neon. I think all the shades I have are the UV formulas so they glow in the dark under UV and blacklight. In normal light, they are just a matte finish and super bright. They are also vegan and cruelty free.

Current Skincare Routine for Dry Skin

If you've followed me for a while you will know I have been battling with (and moaning about) horrendously dry skin. My face was like the Sahara and I couldn't wear foundation without it cracking on my skin and making me look like I had scales. I had finally accepted that foundation wasn't for me. However, I am pleased to report I have mastered my skincare and I now have a nice plump and hydrated face. So I thought I'd share what has worked for me. Obviously, I am not an expert and I know next to nothing about skincare. This has just been many years of trial and error. Also needs to be noted that I drink a lot of water because I also have a forever dry mouth (it's a meds side effect) and I've cut out dairy which helped with my breakouts.

Glossier Review

Glossier is a highly talked about brand. I've seen a lot of people raving about their skincare along with their simple makeup. They are all about dewy, glowy skin and promote perfecting your skincare first, makeup second. I haven't tried many of their products but the ones that I have, have been a bit of a mixed bag. There are products that I absolutely adore and are now a staple in my routine and a few that I think are overhyped *cough Boy Brow cough*. I do definitely think they are worth checking out though.

The Body Shop Review - Every Product I've Tried

Well, this is going to be quite the post. Just doing the pictures and the links took me forever. Who knew I had tried so many Body Shop products. I knew I liked their skincare but I didn't realise I loved so many products. This is a bumper review post of every Body Shop product I have ever tried which amounts to 45 products including skincare, body products and makeup. I've grouped them in their ranges to try and make it easier for you if you are looking for a review on a specific product. So let's jump in.

2020 Beauty Favourites

So this was supposed to be my first post back but I didn't have any photos sorted. As you can see I never mustered the energy to try and take photos of my makeup in the crappy winter lighting so I opted for a collage instead and actually had a lot of fun making it. Photos is normally what stops me from posting because it's hard work on my body so I think this might be the thing that actually gets me posting more. I'm going to do a mix of these kinds of images and actual photos when my body is cooperating. Here's to hopefully posting more than a handful of times in 2021.

I thought my first post back would be the beauty products I reached for most last year. I mean I wore makeup a handful of times but these were the items I used and loved. I've finally got my skincare sorted so my makeup applies so much better and I enjoy it so much more. You can also see how my loves have changed by checking out my posts from - 2016 - 2017 - 2018 - 2019

Dying My Hair With Colour Freedom

First off I would like to apologise for the sheer amount of pictures of my face in this post. There were just so many colours to show off. If you know me then you will know that I feel most me with bright hair. It all started many years ago with a pink dip dye that soon became all over in your face pink. I switched between pink and blonde for a few years and then I discovered purple. It is hands down my favourite colour to be. I do however mix it up by adding pink or blue.

When I was pink I used the Schwarzkopf Live Ultra Brights in Shocking Pink. You can check out my retro post from 5 whole years ago to see some terrible quality photos of baby faced me with long pink hair. They do have a purple dye but it didn't take to my hair very well and turned pink after one wash which is why it took me so long to actually go purple.

2019 Beauty Favourites

My favourite thing to reflect on in the new year is all the products I have loved. You can see all the products that I've loved through the years here - 2016 - 2017 - 2018. I scaled back on my base makeup this year but I am still a sucker for a good lipstick. I also found my all time favourite eyeliner which I will never part with.  So, here are the products I was constantly reaching for and absolutely loved throughout 2019.

Fenty Beauty Review

Fenty Beauty became available to buy in boots this year on my birthday. Obviously, this meant I had to treat myself. Since then I have amassed a pretty decent collection of mainly lipsticks. I just can't help it. I love a good lipstick. The bolder the better and Fenty really do deliver on bold colours. They also deliver on my other weakness. Gorgeous packaging. Seriously, have you ever seen prettier lipsticks? They just look so good on my dressing table. They are also cruelty-free so it would be rude not to.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks

If you know me then you will know that I love a matte liquid lipstick. I am all about a bold lip and liquid lipsticks just pack the punch I need. My collection is pretty extensive and has a huge array of colours. I have recently fallen in love with Anastasia Beverly Hills offerings so thought I'd update my Liquid Lipstick series.

Current Favourites From Nivea

I have been really enjoying Nivea products at the moment and have recently been sent some new bits that I have fallen in love with. So, I thought I'd share with you my current favourite products. Honestly, the mousse moisturiser is a stand out product and I highly recommend you all go out and get it asap. I definitely look forward to my nightly routine more since I started using it because it leaves my skin feeling so good. Plus a mousse moisturiser is just more fun.

OPI Tokyo Collection

I have never tried O.P.I nail polish before so when I got a few polishes to try via Influenster I was pretty excited to give them a go. Now I love having my nails painted but I am hard on my nails. Not only am I a wheelchair user but I also play wheelchair basketball and it is impossible to make a mani last through that. That means I am always changing up my colours and paint my nails once a week and am so bad for just rocking the extremely chipped look. Recently I have just been alternating between Rimmel black, a dark berry shade and a light blue so I was looking forward to mixing it up a bit. Not gonna lie, it felt weird not constantly having dark nails.

Kit Stars Vegan Brush Kit

As a makeup wearer, you can never really have enough makeup brushes. I mean washing them all the time is just far too much effort. I was kindly sent the Kit Stars Full Vegan Brush Kit* and it arrived at the perfect time because all of my current brushes are in desperate need of a good clean. Like it's so bad I can't actually remember when I last did them.

All Kit Stars brushes are made with good quality wooden handles and solid copper ferrules which are gold plated to make them stronger and hard-wearing. So not only will they last but they look beautiful. You can't really beat a bit of black and gold, can you? You can also get all of the brushes in either natural or vegan hair which is great.

The full brush kits then come with a peel down bag which when opened up folds into a brush holder. Not going to lie, I didn't notice this until I went on their website to find the link. It is such a great idea. means you can have all your brushes visible and to hand in a handy pot when you're travelling. Genius.

June 2019 Favourites

Who's ready for another late favourites post? I haven't done one of these for a while because I haven't really been wearing makeup or using anything particularly exciting. I mean I still haven't been using anything revolutionary and I've only worn a little bit of makeup but I finally had enough products I've enjoyed using to make a post. July's should hopefully be more exciting.

New in Nivea Skin Care

Nivea have recently brought out some new skincare products and I was kindly sent some of them to try. I've really been getting into my skincare recently and my favourite part of an evening is cleansing my face, putting on a face mask and enjoying a good cuppa and a book. The products I was sent are perfect for that. They include biodegradable face wipes, a cleanser/scrub, face mask and moisturiser.

Fragrance With Secret Scent Box

I adore perfume. I'm not one of these people that has a signature scent either. I have many on the go and just pick whichever one I fancy on the day. There are too many gorgeous scents out there to just stick to one. However, I can be a bit picky so the Secret Scent Box is just a perfect invention.

A black box contains 3 tiny bottles of perfume, there are 3 information cards next to the box and a square card that says hello beautiful

Mothers Day Pamper At Home

So this post is late but what's new there. Will my body ever actually behave and let me function when I need to? Probably not. Anyway enough of that. It's mothers day tomorrow. How are you treating your mums/significant person in your life?

My mum has the huge privilege of being the parent of two kids who play wheelchair basketball and therefore she has to get up at 6am to drive us 3 hours and then spend all day in a sports hall watching 3 games of basketball. We then won't get home until about midnight. Oh and this is all happening on the day we lose an hours sleep. Isn't she lucky? Honestly, I am so blessed to have such an incredible mum and I will probably moan more than her and it's partly my fault.

February 2019 Favourites

I never got around to doing a January faves post. I mean it didn't help that I have barely worn makeup recently. I am determined to play around with more this month. I even bought a super bright eyeshadow palette to mess around with. This month's favourites isn't a particularly big one either. Just the essentials, moisturiser, highlighter and lipstick. What more do you need? Oh, the shit tons of hot Ribena I've been drinking because I've felt crappy.

Dose of Colors Mickey Collection

Two of my favourite things in life are lipstick and Disney. So when I saw that my absolute favourite lipstick brand was releasing a Disney collection I was so excited. If you've seen my Dose of Colors collection post you will know that I own a fair few of their matte liquid lipsticks and love them. I have wanted to try their satin lipsticks for a while but could never decide on a shade. As soon as I saw the Mickey collection though I fell in love with 2 out of the 3.
